Chicago's WMAQ-TV has partnered up with eVoter to help connect Chicago area voters to important Election Day information. Visitors to a special webpage that WMAQ has set up will be able to quickly find everything they need in regards to the upcoming February 2nd elections. This new webpage by WMAQ, along with eVoter, allows visitors to find concise, unbiased information on polling place locations, election information, candidate profiles, a way to interact with the candidates, look up endorsements from registered organizations, donate to campaigns, find out about measures on their ballot, access an absentee ballot, and print a customized ballot for themselves.

Illinois, which has the very first primary election of the year for the entire country, is also the very first state in the country where eVoter is available. WMAQ-TV now offers this online Web tool for voters, powered by eVoter, at this webpage: http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/politics/Chicago-Elections-2010.html, which is part of their comprehensive online election coverage located on the NBC5 website.

"Our partnership with eVoter provides a great service for voters and candidates", said Frank Whittaker, WMAQ-TV's Manager and Vice President of News. "Voters can log on to find their polling place, and see exactly what their ballot will look like on Tuesday."

eVoter is the first website where voters and candidates can closely connect. The non-partisan website allows voters to directly interact with candidates and access accurate, up-to-date information to make informed voting decisions come Election Day. From statewide races, like Governor and U.S. Senator, all the way down to the local county and municipal contests, eVoter provides voters with a list of every candidate that will be on their February 2nd ballot. With over 7,000 Illinois Primary Election Candidates listed and well over 11,000 polling places, eVoter claims to be THE online destination for 2010 Illinois Primary Election information.

"We're pleased to announce this partnership with one of Chicago's local news leaders," said Adam Kravitz, CEO of Political Technologies LLC, owners and operators of eVoter in a statement. "Adding a broadcast media partner marks an important milestone in the expansion of eVoter, and this step will ultimately allow us to reach even more voters in the Chicago area."
