Comcast is changing its name

Comcast, the mega-company that delivers most of the cable service to Chicagoland and who will soon own NBC, is changing its name. Very soon, it will no longer be called Comcast, but "Xfinity."

Comcast/Xfinity will not waste any time making the name change. It takes effect on February 12th. A full-on marketing blitz begins in a few days with print ads, radio spots and TV commercials during the Winter Olympics.
