As first announced back on February 1st, Hit Parade Radio, the long-anticipated 24/7 Oldies Radio Network created by veteran WLS & WCFL programmer John Rook, and featuring Chicago's "Superjock," Larry Lujack, was supposed to launch this week. It hasn't happened yet. There have been some last minute delays and some changes/additions to the network, which has been it's sad story since its inception almost a year ago. They hope to finally launch this Saturday, though, on Clear Channel Satellite, in what John Rook is calling a "soft launch."
There are some major changes to the lineup, however. Larry Lujack is gone from mornings and shifted to afternoons. The new weekday line-up looks like this:
Chuck Brinkman - 6:00am-10:00am
Wink Martindale - 10:00am-3:00pm
Larry Lujack - 3:00pm-7:00pm
Ron Foster - 7:00pm-Midnight
In addition to Clear Channel Satellite, you can also hear the station on its website, linked below. HPR hopes to have numerous affiliates nationwide before this year is out. No Chicago area affiliate has yet been named.
