My mother called me back in 1970 to tell me that Chuck Schaden was playing the Cinnamon Bear on the radio, a program I listened to as a child. I found the little am station at the bottom of the am dial and started a Saturday tradition of listening to Old Time Radio. Usually in the summer I was doing yard work and had the radio outside with the volume up so I could hear it all over the yard. As a result my kids (5, 7 and 9 at the time) were exposed to Benny, Magee, Crosby etc. Today, I'm in my 70's, still listening to OTR on Saturdays (although now on the internet in Arizona) and enjoying the job Steve Darnall is doing. I'm a Steinmetz Alum and got to know Chuck personally, he has left a legacy that generations to come will enjoy, thank you Chuck and Steve for continuing this historical effort. Finally, Chuck efforts have spanned 4 generations, my mother who listened, myself, my children and my grandchildren who listen when they visit us on weekends!
