He entered the hospital today to have his leg amputated above his right knee. He continues to be upbeat about his situation, however, and is convinced that this will lead to better quality of life for him, once he is healed and fitted for a prosthetic leg. Al and his wife Margie now live up in Milwaukee, where he has been a loan officer for the past three years. Keep "Big Al" in your thoughts this week.
Damn, I worked with Big Al in Milwaukee and he was the nicest guy. I hope this works out for him. Luckily he has a great wife who'll always be there for him.
