More changes are taking place at CBS Radio's WCFS-FM, aka Fresh 105.9. Effective immediately, Roxanne Steele has exited as the station's afternoon personality. She *will* remain with Fresh, doing weekend work and paid live appearences.
This was reportedly an amicable and mutually agreed upon change, as Steele wanted to do more personality-driven radio, but CBS Radio management continued to push for more of a voice-tracked/liner note reading show style.
Before joining Fresh 105.9, Roxanne Steele worked 12 years at CBS Radio's B96. She was named Best Local Station Personality at the 2002 Illinois Silver Dome Awards.
No decision yet on a replacement for Fresh 105.9 afternoons. The most rumored candidate is evening/weekend personality Brooke Hunter. Other possibilities include a return by sister US99.5's Marci Braun, or moving Steve Fisher to afternoons. The latter would leave an opening for Eddie & JoBo to return to CBS doing mornings on 105.9.
