Stan Jastrzebski, who spent the last year as a free-lance reporter at Tribune Co.-owned news/talk WGN-AM (720), has been appointed news director at WFIU-FM, the public radio station owned by Indiana University in Bloomington.

The northwest suburban Elgin native holds a chicagomedia.org's degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
