Jeff put me on my first spot in 1995 for the Rock 103.5 Dating Line.
He was very patient in guiding us to get the reads he wanted. It wasn't easy because we were newbies and I wasn't very good at all.
A decade later, Jeff volunteered at 9 FM for our Pay For Play fundraiser after Katrina. He was loving life and having a great time on the air. He left his demo and materials with us in case we could use him down the road. It was a true highlight of my time at 9 FM to see him having SO much fun. At the time he was out of work.
He called a few weeks later from the airport and asked if I could email his production demo to WNNX for him. He couldn't get to a computer fast enough and he really wanted the job. He wanted to make it super easy for the PD to say YES. And he did.
He was a relatively young man....too young to be gone for sure.
