Fox Chicago's "Good Day Chicago" is losing its Executive Producer

Tichelaar exiting as WFLD 'Good Day Chicago' executive producer

Melinda Tichelaar will be moving off Fox-owned WFLD-Ch. 32's "Good Day Chicago," where she has been executive producer for the last two years, at the end of this week.

A WFLD spokeswoman confirmed Tichelaar will remain with the station as a Web producer and line producer. Her "Good Day" responsibilities will be absorbed by others on the program until a replacement is named.

Don't be surprised if a leading candidate is Todd Woolman, a former WBBM-Ch. 2 assistant news director ushered out in last April's cuts at the CBS-owned station. Woolman would be just the latest Channel 2 alumnus hired by Channel 32 news boss Carol Fowler, who left WBBM in November 2008.

Under Tichelaar, 37, "Good Day" added a fifth hour in July 2008, extending the morning news and talk program from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.
