Chicago Tribune's "Clout Goes to College"

Earlier this month, the Chicago Tribune's series "Clout Goes to College" won the prestigious Taylor Family Award for Fairness in Newspapers by the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard. The Tribune series was called an "evenhanded and thorough investigation of improper influence peddling in the admissions process at the University of Illinois." The Taylor Family Award for Fairness in Newspapers was established by the family that published the Boston Globe for over a hundred years. Recipients of this award win $10,000. The award is to encourage fairness in news coverage by America's daily newspapers. All of the articles in the multi-month series "Clout Goes to College" can be seen:
