Fiery crash temporarily closes Kennedy express lanes

A fiery two-car accident on the inbound express lanes of the Kennedy Expressway temporarily blocked all lanes on the roadway this morning.
The express lanes reopened about 5:50 a.m. Traffic in the other lanes began moving earlier as fire equipment left the area.
One of the drivers fled on foot but was caught and taken into custody, state police said.
The accident happened at California Avenue.
One of the cars caught fire. It was extinguished by the Chicago Fire Department.
