WLS-AM's Deborah Rowe returns to the WLS airwaves this weekend for a very special two-day radio broadcast. Both Saturday and Sunday, from Noon-2:00pm, Deborah Rowe will host a charity event on WLS-AM 890 to help raise funds for the Food For The Poor organization to help rebuild Haiti.
Among the many efforts Food For The Poor is doing for the Haitians in need, they are trying to build permanent homes for displaced people. The cost of each home is only around $2,600. Deb Rowe and WLS's goal for Saturday and Sunday is to raise enough money to build at least 14 homes. Donate what you can by calling 866-433-4673 or by clicking on this link here: www.FoodForThePoor.org/WLS.
Food For The Poor is the largest international relief organization in the United States, according to the "Chronicle of Philanthropy." The organization has a four star rating from Charity Navigator, which is the highest rating possible. More than 97% of money donated goes directly to programs that help the poor.
Listen to Deborah Rowe Saturday and/or Sunday from Noon-2:00pm on WLS-AM 890 or online at www.WLSAM.com and help those in need.
