Does anybody there realize that its 2010 and popup ads are becoming a thing of the past with _s and all that. You DON'T put popup ads on your website if you want effective advertising. If they wanted to have larger advertising, they should take pointers from NextMedia where the page pulls over from the top left and right. At least that's somewhat "innovative" for the very little money internet advertising generates.
Second, I know they must be thrilled with the fact that they own the domain "radio.com" but in 2010 websites don't re direct to (stationname.radio.com) unless you're maybe a dinky small market station somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Again, ridiculous.
The layout is horrible. Clutter cliutter clutter. No real content. They all look like one big "ad" like some advertiser you get in the mail "junk mail"
They're trying to have all their websites have the same layout much like Clear Channel
The problem is, Clear Channel's websites are WAY BETTER then whatever the hell CBS Radio is doing.
Back to the drawing board for the love of God.
: CBS Radio, which owns 5 FM and 2 AM radio stations in the Chicago market, has unveiled brand new websites yesterday for each of its FM stations here. All 5 of the new websites look very similar and follow the same template. And if you notice, all web site domain names redirect to station-name.RADIO.com now.
