I didn't like what I saw at first glance, but took a second look this morning at WXRT's website. I like it better than I thought.

Key station promotions are right there, and so is the listen live link.

Social media links are fairly prominent, as are featured station events.

The blog feature's relevant and interesting.

Some changes that would improve it:

- Get rid of the four-column static links along the top. They push everything else down too far and 3 of the 4 are redundant. Put the VIP Lounge link on the empty gray tab to the right of home repairs.

- Featured events hides down "below the fold." Crazy. Pull featured events up and kick XRTV and Photo Gallery down below featured events. Same for Twitter Updates. Pull them up above XRTV and Photo Gallery, too. Those twitter updates are key to cementing the social networking vibe.

Other than that, not as bad as it originally looked.
