Got a tip from someone inside the Crawford camp that Reach Media, syndicator of the Tom Joyner show, and Crawford Broadcasting reached agreement to move Joyner's morning show from low-powered Soul 106.3 to its more powerful sister station Power 92 WPWX. The expected launch date is Wednesday, April 28. I'm told Reach Media paid a 52-week affiliation fee of $850,000 to Crawford, up from last year's $500,000 fee to be carried on Soul 106.3.

How Power 92 blends a 45-64 demo morning show with a station that has an 18-34 hip-hop slant the remainder of the its broadcast day is yet to be seen.

This well-placed source shared also that Joyner's soon to be former affiliate, Soul 106.3 will return to it's Gospel roots as Rejoice 106.

More 2 come.
