"Perhaps it wasn't sports-talk WMVP-AM (1000) on-air talent Harry Teinowitz's finest moment. Representatives from WMVP and the White Sox confirmed Thursday that Teinowitz, a host of the station's ''Afternoon Saloon,'' was removed from the Sox' clubhouse Tuesday.

Teinowitz reportedly was loud and apparently behaving in a fashion Sox executives deemed inappropriate.

''We were trying to maintain a professional environment,'' Sox spokesman Bob Beghtol said.

''He's usually loud, even under normal circumstances,'' explained WMVP representative Adam Delevitt, who said disciplinary action for Teinowitz was being considered, but not a suspension.

It was the first time, as far as anyone can recall, that Teinowitz had been asked to leave the White Sox' clubhouse. He is free to return.

''He has media credentials,'' Beghtol added.

A former stand-up comic, Teinowitz has been with WMVP since ESPN took over the station in 1998. Teinowitz has been a fixture on the ''Afternoon Saloon'' since 2001."
