WILV-FM Rebrands As "Rewind 100.3"

: Chicago has a new radio station! WILV has changed itself yet again - to "Chicago's Rewind 100.3 -- Feel Good Favorites from the 80's and more!" : The last few weekends, the Bonneville-owned station had been experiment with "Rewind" weekends. The reaction from listeners & staff was overwhelmingly positive. So now the "Rewind" format is permanent and 100.3 will be rewinding to these older hits full-time. : All new jingles & imaging are already in rotation. The new logo has been placed on the website and Facebook page. : 100.3 had been playing a hefty dose of 80's music for the last couple of years. This isn't a true format "flip," but more of a streamlining of its format and a more memorable way of marketing the station to both Chicago's radio audience and advertisers. : Bonneville's WREW 94.9 FM in Cincinnati has been branded as "Rewind 94.9" for almost one full year, using a similar logo and imaging as Chicago's 100.3 is now using. It has become one one Cincy's top radio stations. There is every reason to expect that Bonneville can make the same formula to work here in Chicago, as well.
