I don't believe they were making money from CNN Radio on WKIF. I don't know how well they're doing with Nine-FM on WKIF, but I wouldn't be surprised if that station is sold down the line. If it gets sold, I believe it would be sold to a local company, or a national or regional company that knows how to market to the market the station is in. As for the WCPT-FM/WCPY/WCPQ trimulcast; that's hard to say. Unless Newsweb plans to broker those stations as well (such as Dance Factory Radio at night), I wouldn't be surprised if they plan to sell the trimulcast. Besides, had then WRZA Park Forest & WNDZ Portage Indiana not been a package deal, they would have only bought WNDZ and let someone else buy WRZA (now WCPQ). Newsweb does best at brokering their stations, and not sure if they would broker their FM stations full time. Since WCPT-AM now has a nighttime signal over Chicago that gets little interference from WBAP in most of Chicago, I don't believe the trimulcast will be needed if the station reaches the areas that WCPT-AM wants to reach.
: Ok they have alot of money from selling off WPWR, but I'm still trying to figure out how they are really making money on the WCP* Fm's
: And how did Kankakee make money on 24-7 CNN radio before flipping to the current 9-type format?
: I just don't see it. There's a reason SBS sold them off quickly, and that was a MUSIC format.
