Dancing with the anchors

So this is what it's all come down to?

The folks behind the morning show at Tribune Co.-owned WGN-Channel 9, who've had a weekly segment called "Friday Dance" for more than a decade, are upset because their morning rivals at NBC-owned WMAQ-Channel 5 recently began their own "Dance Friday" segment.

So on today's show, Channel 9's ersatz investigative reporter, Steve Lightning, vows to get to the bottom of the scandal.

"Sometimes you don't need Dave Savini's special light on a bedspread to tell that something's dirty here," said Lightning, who sounds an awful lot like producer Jeff Hoover.
