As sickening as this verdict is, I don't think the jury is to blame, nor do I think you can label this the standard "he got expensive attorneys" explanation.
I don't think he got off because of the mole either.
Or because of his celebrity status.
Instead, how do you honestly convict someone of a crime when the victim outright denies the situation? I think he paid off the victim. I don't think she decided to recant at random. I can't believe there wasn't more investigation into this angle. Maybe our justice department will surprise me though and they've been investigating this possibility all along and we'll see an indictment soon. I hope so.
