Blackhawks opener: You won't find the Blackhawks' season opener on Comcast SportsNet or WGN-TV/Channel 9 Thursday. Nope, their game in Colorado will air on Versus. You know the drill.

"Dan Patrick Show": Also at Comcast SportsNet, the station will air a live simulcast of the "Dan Patrick Show" beginning Oct. 25. The plan calls for Mr. Patrick's radio show, which is heard on more than 200 affiliates via Fox Sports Radio, to also be seen daily from 8-11 a.m.

Odds and ends: The Cubs have created a corporate marketing group to help clients activate their partnerships through the year. Sam Coghill has been promoted to managing director of corporate partnerships.
