Former Talk KLIK-A/JEFFERSON CITY, MO "PARTY LINE" midday host JAMES KEOWN's murder trial is getting underway at last after being delayed by a mistrial in APRIL. Opening statements in KEOWN's trial are scheduled for TODAY (6/16) in MASSACHUSETTS; KEOWN has been charged with murdering his wife, JULIE, in SEPTEMBER 2004 by spiking her GATORADE with anti-freeze.

The APRIL trial was ended by a mistrial when an expert defense witness underwent emergency surgery in INDIANAPOLIS, preventing his testimony.

KEOWN, also known in his radio career as J.P. O'NEILL, previously worked at KMBZ-A and KCMO-A in KANSAS CITY, WMVP-A (ESPN 1000)/CHICAGO, and WRKO-A/BOSTON in various production, web, marketing, programming, and on-air capacities before joining KLIK.
