In a first for Channel 9, it will be airing a live, commercial-free special from the Taste of Chicago and Independence Eve fireworks display at the lakefront.

Channel 9 morning meteorologist Paul Konrad and news/talk WGN-AM (720) afternoon personality Steve Cochran will co-host "Chicago's Summer Blast" from 9 to 10 p.m. July 3.
