: : 93xrt used to have a great 11th hour show saturday nights. but the hostinG by the terrible jason thomas has got to stop. last night he made fun of kings of leon having a tour bus firE, then HE tried to back-pedal. hey jason! it's on tape! edit it out next time! then edit out all the dead air! he sucks.
: I have been trying to be nice regarding my opinion towards Jason Thomas. I don't doubt he is a great guy, but to me, he doesn't quite fit the mold. WXRT would be so much more of a class act if Bobby Skafish were still there. I know Marty Lennartz is busy with his job responsibilities at the station already, but he is great on the air too, and so easy to listen to. I wish he had a fulltime air shift again. Or how about placing Tom Marker after Frank E. Lee and putting Johnny Mars back on nights. I don't know the real story why Mars disappeared completely in the first place, but he is the absolute perfect fit for nights on that station, hands down. He somehow plays a mix of music that no one else at that station does. And it is unique. His segues make sense too. When he played John Lennon's "Cold Turkey" a few months ago, I nearly drove off the road, from turning the car stereo up to a deafening level. That is the kind of musical programming I tune into 93XRT for.
I have no idea why Jason Thomas is on the air at WXRT-FM.
