This is a topic that's been burnt into the ground I think. B96 "returning to its roots" just isn't gonna happen.

I think it's a known fact now that all of us 80s and 90s kids miss our house/freestyle/dance and classic R&B. This new hip hop music scene just isn't for me either. I don't even consider it real music.

What you need to remember though is that back then when B played "our" stuff, THAT was hit music. TODAY's hit music IS the hip hop. B occasionally "throws back" (especially during it's 5pm Friday mix) but if you want to hear more freestyle, house, and old school hip hop/R&B you are actually likely to get it down the dial at Power 92's fuzzy signal.
