Suspended ESPN sports talk radio personality Harry Teinowitz will return to the air today, the station announced Tuesday.
Teinowitz was suspended at WMVP-AM (1000), where he was a co-host of the afternoon drive show “The Afternoon Saloon,” after his DUI arrest March 4.
On Tuesday, his co-hosts on “Carmen, Jurko & Harry,” John “Jurko” Jurkovic and Carmen DeFalco announced he will return at 2 p.m. today. DeFalco said “thousands of fans”
had been asking when Teinowitz would return.
Teinowitz publicly apologized on-air soon after his arrest for what he characterized as his “horrible mistake in judgment.”
He was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage after Skokie Police pulled over his Nissan Murano SUV at 11:50 p.m. March 4.
A test showed Teinowitz’s blood-alcohol level was .131 percent, police said.
