Your producer has his ear to the ground.

"Drive Chicago" with original host Paul Brian is returning after being canceled by WLS-AM at the start of this month. Due to an astounding outpouring of listener requests, WLS-AM has reversed their decision and will be bringing Chicago's only car talk radio show back to its airwaves, airing each Saturday morning from 8:00am-9:00am, its most recent time slot at the station.

The radio show is owned and produced by the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA), which is the only automotive association in America with its own weekly radio show. However, it should be pointed out, that unlike much of WLS-AM's weekend programming, this is not a brokered show. Paul Brian will once again become an employee of WLS-AM and the WLS-AM sales staff does sell the ad space on the program.

The show has been on the air since 1996. To make room for the returning show, Jake Hartford's Saturday morning talk show will be trimmed to 2 hours.

: I'm getting this second hand from my producer, but she says the Paul Brian auto show - what is it, Drive Chicago? - is now back on WLS after a tidal wave of protests scared WLS bosses into bringing it back.
: Michael Damsky and Drew Hayes cowered and caved.
