As expected, Geoff Dankert, managing editor at Fox-owned WFLD-Channel 32, has been named assistant news director.

He succeeds Ellen Miller, who left last month.

Dankert, a graduate of Michigan State University, joined Fox in 1999 as executive producer from WXYZ-TV in Detroit. He moved up to managing editor in 2002.
