Jauss, Ditka, Brickhouse get Ring Lardner honor

Longtime former Chicago Tribune sportswriter Bill Jauss, ESPN analyst and former Chicago Bears Super Bowl champion coach Mike Ditka and the late Baseball Hall of Fame broadcaster Jack Brickhouse will be the recipients of the 2011 Ring Lardner Awards. “That’s pretty high company,” Jauss, 81, said Tuesday from his home in Wilmette. “Jack and I can play Cribbage and Ditka can be the referee. No cheatin’ in that game.”
