Jim Trengrove, a former producer at ABC-owned WLS-Channel 7 and Window to the World Communications WTTW-Channel 11, has resigned after 21 years as senior producer for PBS' "The News Hour."

While exploring other options, Trengrove said he's working with Jim Lehrer on a documentary about presidential debates to air in September on PBS.
