Analyst Bob Brenly is leaving the Cubs' TV booth to pursue other opportunities, WGN-Ch. 9 said Wednesday. Brenly, who replaced Steve Stone in the booth in 2005, is expected to be announced soon as the replacement for Mark Grace in Arizona's broadcast booth. Brenly won a World Series as manager of the Diamondbacks in 2001 before being fired in 2004. Brenly leaves with no regrets, saying it was time to move on.
