THE CONCLAVE’s TALENT TRAK, held at COLUMBIA COLLEGE in CHICAGO last SATURDAY, lived up to its billing as an exciting and informative event. As promised, there were topic intensive sessions, a special keynote by CHICAGO CUBS broadcaster LEN KASPER and the one-on-one TALENTRACK aircheck clinic.
“This was one of our most successful TALENTRAKs, with nearly 40 students enrolled, coached by 20 of our industry’s finest programmers." CONCLAVE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TOM KAY said.
"From the opening session on air talent tips with EMMIS Classic Rock WLUP/CHICAGO's BILL KLAPROTH (the host for the day) and CLEAR CHANNEL Urban MILWAUKEE PD BAILEY COLEMAN with NEXT MEDIA Classic Rock WERV/AURORA, IL PD MATT DUBIEL to our production and imaging session with production pros BONNEVILLE/CHICAGO’s MATT BISBEE and EMMIS WLUP/WKQX/CHICAGO’s BRIAN RHODES ... to our career tips seminar conducted by CITADEL COMMUNICATIONS News/Talk WLS/CHICAGO PD KIPPER McGEE, volumes of important information were shared. TALENTRAK keynoter LEN KASPER - a self-proclaimed 'radio guy in a TV person’s body’ - was inspirational with his presentation, “MAKE THE CALL. In an industry that needs more ‘feel good’ stories, TALENTRAK delivered this weekend in CHICAGO. A special thanks to COLUMBIA COLLEGE for hosting this wonderful event.”
