WLEY Toss Out The Turkeys

SBS Spanish WLEY (LA LEY 107.9)/CHICAGO gave away turkeys to over 1,000 people participated in its special "Turkey Giveaway Day" for needy families.

In addition to handing out free turkeys to needy families, LA LEY and co-sponsor Jewel-Osco gave thanks to the community by providing coffee, Mexican bread, tamales, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and beverages to everyone who gathered at the event.

"One way of being part of the community is to help as many families as possible, throughout the year," said LA LEY/CHICAGO VP/GM TERRY HARDIN. "To be able to see so many smiling faces and know that our neighbors can celebrate this Thanksgiving with a turkey on their table is a great feeling for all of us at LA LEY. This event was heartwarming to not only us, but to the whole Hispanic community of CHICAGO."
