CBS Rocker WYSP/PHILADELPHIA is reshuffling its deck, as EMMIS Alternative WKQX (Q101.1)/CHICAGO APD SPIKE announced his DECEMBER 12th exit to become APD/on-air for his hometown station. What's more, insiders have confirmed with ALL ACCESS that KIDD CHRIS will indeed move from afternoons to the morning slot vacated by OPIE & ANTHONY on MONDAY (11/26); an announcement regarding the afternoon spot will follow shortly.
SPIKE, who was MD at 'YSP before joining Q101 a year-and-a-half ago (NET NEWS 5/5/06), is expecting to be at WYSP by DECEMBER 17th. "Thanks to JACK WHITE for making me so famous!" SPIKE told ALL ACCESS, before adding, "What a dick."
EMMIS/CHICAGO Brand Manager TISA LASORTE said, "Despite the fact that his departure involves Q101 losing a great creative mind and a passionate fan of music and talented radio personalities, I choose to celebrate the fact that a deserving person has been asked to contribute even more of his talents at another great station."
