With Steve Sanders, her 9 p.m. WGN co-anchor of 15 years, moving to the station's noon show Monday, Allison Payne was sorting through the emotions of the imminent separation on Friday.

"It really hit me yesterday how much I'm going to miss Steve and the special relationship we had. We really bonded as friends," Payne said. "Steve was the most generous co-anchor I could ever imagine. He always encouraged me. He never displayed any jealousy."
