NBC 5 tries out new weathergirl

Nelly Carreno, top weather anchor at NBC/Telemundo's WSNS-Channel 44, will put her bilingual skills to work when she turns up on NBC's Channel 5.

She'll be filling in for Ginger Zee on Channel 5's Saturday and Sunday morning newscasts this weekend.

Carreno joined Channel 44 last year from Pennsylvania-based AccuWeather. She previously worked at KXTX-TV in Dallas.
