CBS Radio Deal with AOL Boosts Online Station Ratings
In the just released comScore Arbitron Online Radio Ratings, CBS Radio earned the top spot among all of the Internet broadcasters tracked by the online audience measurement service with a TSL of 13 hours, 40 minutes -- besting LAUNCHcast Radio (12 hours, 12 minutes) and Live365 (10 hours, 59 minutes). This marks the first comScore ratings report for CBS Radio since the launch of its partnership with AOL Radio on June 10.
Additionally, according to the Internet Radio Top 20, Ando Media's listing of the top-performing Internet radio stations measured by the Webcast Metrics audience measurement platform, CBS Radio's audio streams saw a 65% increase in cume from May to June.
Ando Media statistics also show significant improvement for several of the companies individual broadcast outlets when compared to figures prior to the AOL launch. The top 5 most listened to CBS Radio stations were WFAN, KLSX, KROQ, WXRK, and KTWV whose combined weekly audience increased by close to 50%.
Additionally, exposure for CBS Radio'S HD-2 stations in Chicago (WJMK-FM HD 2; Classic Hits), Detroit (WYCD-FM HD 2; New Country), Phoenix (KOOL-FM HD 2; 70s Music), Denver (KXKL-FM HD 2; All #1's) and Pittsburgh (WDSY-FM HD 2; New Country), which are also streamed online, resulted in triple digit percentage increases.
