ENTERCOM Top 40 WEZB (B97)/NEW ORLEANS has tapped CUMULUS Top 40 WZOK/ROCKFORD PD TOM "JAMMER" NAYLOR as its new PD beginning AUGUST 18th. He's replacing MIKE KAPLAN who joined sister Alternative KNDD (107.7 THE END)/SEATTLE, (NET NEWS 6/23).
And, ENTERCOM sister Classic Rocker WKBU (BAYOU 95.7) is now being programmed by ANDY HOLT, who continues as PD at AC WLMG (MAGIC 101.9).
ENTERCOM VP/Market Mgr. CHRIS CLAUS told ALL ACCESS, "We had other great candidates in the process, but not only does TOM has a great track record of success and will be a great fit, but the fact that he's been here before, he knows the market and has passion for the market, is a real plus for us. NEW ORLEANS folks like that."
Remarking on HOLT, CLAUS added, "ANDY has had a great record of success here at WLMG and at COOL 105 which became a simulcast with Talk WWL-A. He's a team player who assists us across the cluster with research, marketing and general market expertise. He's a tremendous asset to us."
When asked to comment, JAMMER told ALL ACCESS, "My time with CUMULUS has been amazing! SVP/Programming JAN JEFFRIES has been nothing but incredible to work for, and he is someone I will always have absolute respect for. GM BECKY RIOJAS is the ultimate manager! Our air staff are the most passionate people ever ... STEVE, LEIGH, JENNA, JB are 100% true professionals!
Programming B97 is an amazing opportunity that I could not pass up and I look forward to the exciting times that lay ahead working with PAT PAXTON, CHRIS CLAUS, and the entire staff!
