Fox fixes on new anchor

It's nice to see WFLD-Channel 32 getting around to finalizing the deal for a new top news anchor tipped here six weeks ago.

Jeff Goldblatt, who's been a Chicago-based correspondent for Fox News Channel, is set to replace Mark Suppelsa on the Fox-owned station's 9 p.m. weekday newscast alongside Robin Robinson.

Before joining the network in 1999, Goldblatt was a reporter for NBC's WTVJ-TV in Miami.

Suppelsa left for Tribune Co.-owned WGN-Channel 9.
