This is the ultimate "I told you so" for us old timers. When all of the consolidation first started happening, we cried for someone to recognize that it was a big mistake. Now you have companies with hundreds and hundreds of stations that are worth far less than they paid for them and no means to support them being run correctly. So they liquidate and in time, it will probably get back to smaller owned radio companies. The only problem is, even if it does - during this whole process thousands of hard-working, honest people lost their jobs and their passion for the industry. And the industry suffered drastically in end-product.
