: : No static at all: CBS Radio's WXRT-FM 93.1 is scheduled to complete its move to NBC Tower on Sept. 6, as on-air personalities leave behind their beloved hovel on Belmont Avenue to join sister station WSCR-AM 670.

: Any idea what floor they will be on?

Judging from their website, since it looks like Sales is already on the 6th floor, it is probably safe to assume that the studios will be on the same floor too. It should be interesting to see how the airstaff, most of which has been in place forever, adjusts to the new commute. Although I doubt we'll hear much about that on the air. Personally, (since I have listened to the station since the mid 70's, and I have been in the building and studio a couple of times - thank you Bill Cochran), I feel some of the best programming has orignated from 4949 W. Belmont. Nothing that 'XRT does these days even comes close to how creative they were at points in their life. Although I am extremely thankful I got to hear that creativity over the years. To me, the station sounds more corporate now, than it ever has. Hopefully that won't be turned up a notch when they move downtown, in that big corporate world.
