Chicago radio host Kendra G was part of a hip hop roundtable discussion during the week that NBC Nightly News aired a five-day, multi-platform report on African American women.
The on-air personality at Chicago's Power 92 said a bunch of activity was cut out of a session filmed for its MSNBC.com Web site. The discussion lasted over an hour and included Kendra G along with record executive Irv Gotti, model Melissa Ford and activist Kevin Powell at the table; and Karrine Steffans and Michael Eric Dyson via satellite.
"There was a moment when Irv Gotti got very graphic and candid about his relationship with Karrine Steffans that did not make the NBC special," Kendra tells EUR.
Although that part of the exchange was left out of the 10-minute package produced for MSNBC.com, Gotti speaks about his thoughts and experiences with Karrine for Kendra G's YouTube channel.
