John Vitanovec is out as exec vice president of Tribune Broadcasting. He most recently was interim general manager of KTLA-TV in Los Angeles.

The former vice president and general manager of WGN-Channel 9 was known here as "The Man Who Killed Bozo" for canceling the long-running and beloved kids' show in 2001.
