Jacobs Media has announced the final three presenters for the "President Of Radio" session during the company's Jacobs Media Summit 13, taking place in Austin on Sept. 18, as part of the R&R Convention and the NAB Radio Show Sept. 17-19.
R&R president and publisher Erica Farber, McVay Media president Mike McVay and Greg Kihn, rocker/author and host of the nationally syndicated "Greg Kihn Show," will join previously announced "President Of Radio" presenters Kidd Kraddick, host of the nationally syndicated “Kidd Kraddick Morning Show," Larry Rosin, president of Edison Media Research, AC WBEB (B101)/Philadelphia owner Jerry Lee, Katz Media Group executive VP of strategic planning & information technology services Gerry Boehme, Arbitron president of sales & marketing Pierre Bouvard, and Harpo Radio GM John Gehron.
Each of the nine industry luminaries along with one “Citizen President” will be asked to answer one compelling question during the session: “If you were elected the President of Radio, what would you do during the first 100 days of your administration?”
“This great group represents virtually every corner of our business,” says Jacobs Media president Fred Jacobs. “We will be hearing recommendations for what radio can do to energize, re-imagine, and reinvent during these challenging times. Rather than go the CEO route, we’re turning to the industry’s best and brightest for what promises to be a content-rich and entertaining session.”
The “Citizen President” will be drawn from submissions that are open to the entire radio industry and will be announced prior to the start of Summit 13, co-sponsored by R&R. Anyone working in radio or in an affiliated business is encouraged to submit his or her answer to the question. All submissions are being posted at PresidentOfRadio.com.
