Randy Eccles Joins WUIS/Springfield, IL

Former BONNEVILLE Talk KTAR-F and Sports KTAR-A/PHOENIX APD/Promotions Dir. and TRIBUNE Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO APD/Webmaster RANDY ECCLES has joined the UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT SPRINGFIELD as Development Director for noncommercial WUIS and WIPA/SPRINGFIELD, IL.

WUIS GM BILL WHEELHOUSE said, "RANDY is committed to quality radio and community service, which is what WUIS is all about."

ECCLES, who has been part of management teams that have won MARCONI and CRYSTAL AWARDS from the NAB, added, "My role is to find resources and supporters to allow WUIS to continue serving the community with quality programming. I'm also seeking the funding to develop the best content for emerging technology platforms such as wuis.org, WUIS-HD so we can best serve central and west central ILLINOIS."
