Doug Banks Signs Off From Mornings

Monday morning (Dec. 31) was the last broadcast of ABC Radio Networks' syndicated "The Doug Banks Morning Show." Several of the show's affiliates have begun airing "Big Boy's Neighborhood," which is also distributed by ABC, including Perry Broadcasting urban outlets KJMM (KJamz 105.3)/Tulsa and KJMZ (K98 Jamz)/Lawton, Okla., and Inner City urban WXHT (Hot 103.9)/Columbia, S.C.

Doug Banks' new role has not been announced, and there are reports that a Banks afternoon show will be syndicated by ABC Radio Networks in 2008. Banks' updated Web site, which reads "'The Doug Banks Show' coming 2008," adds to the speculation. Calls to the network for confirmation were not returned before press time.
