"American Life" scores awards

Showtime's television version of "This American Life" picked up national Emmy Awards Saturday for outstanding nonfiction series and outstanding direction for nonfiction programming.

Hosted and produced by Ira Glass, it's based on the landmark radio series created by Chicago Public Radio WBEZ-FM (91.5).
