Announcing The Fall Chicago Treasures
The Chicago History Museum is proud to announce the fall Chicago Treasures. Through live conversations, these individuals will discuss how the city has shaped their lives and careers. September 30 features actress Jane Lynch, October 29 features actor William Petersen, and November 19 will feature DJ Terri Hemmert.
All Chicago Treasures programs begin at 7:00 p.m. and admission is $12/$10 for Museum members.
On Tuesday, September 30, Jane Lynch, known best for her roles in Best in Show, Talladega Nights, and The 40 Year Old Virgin will be interviewed by Chicago Tribune entertainment reporter, Mark Caro. Lynch most recently provided the narration for the WTTW production Out and Proud in Chicago. In celebration of Lynch's appearance, the Museum will be screening Best in Show on September 23 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $7/$5 Museum members and free for those attending the Jane Lynch Chicago Treasures program. The Museum will also be screening Out and Proud in Chicago on November 9 at 1:30 p.m. This film is free with Museum admission.
On Wednesday, October 29, William Petersen, known most recently for his role as Gil Grissom in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will be interviewed by Chicago Tribune columnist, Rick Kogan. Petersen has a distinguished background in film, theater, and television. His feature film credits include To Live and Die in LA, Cousins, Young Guns II, Fear, The Contender, and Hard Promises, which he also produced.
Terri Hemmert currently a DJ for the radio station 93XRT will be interviewed by rock 'n' roll expert, Stu Shea on Wednesday, November 19. Hemmert has been with the station for over 30 years and became the first female morning drive personality in Chicago in 1981. In 2002, she became host of the popular radio show Breakfast with The Beatles.
