NBC 5's new upscale magazines encourage product placements
Two new upscale magazine shows under the umbrella of "LX.TV" debut this weekend on WMAQ-Channel 5.
At midnight Saturdays, "1st Look Chicago" will cover lifestyle trends and nightlife. "Open House Chicago," at 7:30 a.m. Sundays, will report on real estate and home improvement.
Both half-hour shows will be hosted by local models/actors Connie de Bie and Blake Whealy.
NBC Local Media's "LX.TV" brand, already airing on NBC-owned stations in New York and Los Angeles, allows advertisers to integrate their products "seamlessly" into the programs.
