Nine radio groups ask the FCC to stay out of the People Meter controversy

Bonneville, CBS, Citadel, Emmis, Entercom and others tell the Commission that it lacks jurisdiction and that Arbitron has continued to work inside the accreditation process laid down by the Media Rating Council. The group also says that Arbitron does business through "voluntary private contractual relationships", which would seem to undercut some arguments that Arbitron is a virtual monopoly. The filing also says the matter is one of state law, not federal law or jurisdiction.
